Attract baby boomers with your blog

babyboomers.jpgBefore this recent real estate crash, a lot of people made enormous amounts of money with real estate. The big portion of the investor pool came from baby boomers. Many major corporation spend millions to advertise directly to this population group. The internet seems like an unlikely place for seniors, but that’s not the case.

After baby boomers get passed the initial barrier of learning some basic internet functions, they will realize that doing stuff on the internet is quite easy. They will understand that online banking saves valuable time. They will learn that social networking sites help connect with long lost friends. And they will discover that making money on the internet fits perfectly with retirement their status.

These new seniors will want to learn how to make money online. They will read your blogs and they will buy your products. They will join affiliates under you and they will click through from your site.

They will only do this if you focus your marketing attention on them. Setting up a website or blog catering to baby boomers is a great idea. If you already have a site that attracts seniors, then you should focus on monetizing with affiliate links that are appealing for them.

That is a good idea and I do have a web log that caters to the baby boomer group in the Magdalen Islands Blog, but I don’t sell anything from the site. However, I will keep your thoughts in mind.

I am a baby boomer, my blogs attract a wide age group of users, my youngest reader is around 16 and my oldest around 68.

I have been online now for over 10 years.
