Bloggernoob doesn’t make $80/day online Part 1

August 26th, 2008 by the noob

meg ryan makes money onlineI figured out a way to make $80 a day. This income is not earned by bloggernoob.com. As some of you already know, i have been growing a lot of different blogs. I worked it so that i received a lot of PR on some of my blogs. People who say that Google PR isn’t important probably doesn’t have any. It’s probably the same poor ass bloggers who say that money isn’t important. I still consider myself a noob, but i figured out a lot of ways to make money online. The veterans of this game make more money online because they figured out their own methods. If you really want to make it in this game, you have to think and take action for yourself. None of the “make money online” programs will help you achieve this goal. If you paid for such program, you probably already know this. You’re just out 60 bucks or whatever you paid. Here is how i make $80/day online with my other blogs.

First of all, you have to understand Google. The king of search engines is the key to making money online. Webmasters want their websites to rank well in Google. The SEO game is filled with a lot of link brokers. Most of them probably don’t know what they’re doing but that doesn’t stop them from making money. If you have a site that ranks well in Google, and if you have Google PR, then you will be able to use these methods.

Ok, lets say that you have a website that has PR3. PR3 is respectable, but it won’t make you a lot of money. I have blogs that have PR1-PR6. How did i get this? Some blogs, i bought from other bloggers. Some, i purchased domains with PR on them already. Some, i got because i was able to SEO the blogs. Some, i just got lucky. Meaning, i don’t know how i got PR on them.

I buy and sell a lot of domain names. I think it’s a great way to invest in the web. Instead of earning a few points in your sorry ass savings account, you should think about domain name investment. I have experience in a lot of different type of investments. I used to work for Prudential Securities and dabbled in the stock market. I got in at the wrong time and i ended up losing a few thousand dollars. It wasn’t that big of a deal cause i already made a lot of money in real estate. Anyway, i will always invest in real estate, but in some aspects, i think domain name investing is much better. I’ll talk about this later. Let’s get back to making $80/day with you collection of PR blogs.

Internet veterans know a lot of different ways to make $100/day online. I don’t fall into this group because i am still shy $20/day. Also, i only know of two ways to make this amount.

Because of Google, links are the most important thing online. As far as monetization of a small or medium sized blog, all you need are links. Content doesn’t matter all that much. Marketing doesn’t matter all that much either when it comes to monetization. Also, the “make money online” game is a numbers game. The more you have, the more you’ll make. For example, the level of traffic, links, and page views will determine how much you blog makes. Also, if you set up more blogs, you will be able to keep growing your income. Let’s say that you can make $1000/month. To hit this mark, let’s say that you need 100 strong PR backlinks, 1000 hits a day, and an average of 2 page views per visit. To achieve this with one blog might be difficult. But, if you have 2 blogs, you can hit this mark with ease. If you have 3 or 4 blogs, hitting that mark will be a piece of cake. It’ll take some time and hard work on you part, but it’s totally doable.

Sorry guys, this post is getting way to long for my taste. I will have to break it down into sections. That’s it for now. I’ll post more in detail about it tomorrow. I’ll talk about paid plugging, link selling, and link brokering. I will also talk about setting up a service, domain flipping, and getting private ads. (Notice how i didn’t say much in this post) “Money is in the treatment, not the cure.” Chris Rock. You have to leave you readers wanting more. *smile*

If you’re serious about making money online, you need the right attitude. I’ll share what i know with people who are willing to listen and put in the effort. Best of all, i’m not selling an ebook or mastermind blogging program. I’ll try to be more specific in my next few posts about this. It won’t happen overnight, but if you have the right mindset and work ethic, you should be able to make at least $80 a day. I’m not very smart. If i can do it, any idiot can.

  3. the noob Says:

marly- take it one step at a time. ;)

greg ellison- greg, i would never pay for such programs. i think they are a complete waste of money. i hope you didn’t sign up for it. ;) info contained in those programs can be found for free online.

My blog is beginning to earn money now. I have some referrals that pending and hopefully they will be validated soon.

My major obstacle currently is the way that I am scheduling my time. I have been devoting almost all of my time to my present blog. I have decided to split my time between my present main blog and building onto my portfolio.

I love reading your juicy income generating posts noob. They make me tingle all over :)

Can’t wait to see part 2, part 3, part 4….

  5. Jake Says:

Set your sites high, built content, comment on other sites, develop your own niches and BAM $80 per day is easily achieved.

  6. Brady Frost Says:

I haven’t really sought many ways to monetize my activities online. I’ve been working on huntingthemuse.com since February. I always try to keep the content at the highest quality that I can manage.
Lately I’ve been been branching out and spreading more and more links to my blog through article submissions at various places.

I’ll be stopping back to see how you break out your strategy in the next few days.

    (I got here via entrecard. :) )

Wow… you told us nothing in that post.. thanks.

  8. the noob Says:

goofblogger- yeah, blogging is time consuming, but u can figure out a way to divide your time. it gets easier tho. ;) i didn’t say much in this post, but i’ll try to be specific in my next few posts.

    jake- yup.

brady frost- thanks for visiting. time management is one of the most important things. if you want to make money online, finding the maximum return on time invested is the key. it’s pretty simple tho. figure out what makes money for you personally, and just keep repeating it. do it until it runs out, and then keep finding new ways to extract income. ;)

dan- word. tis the secret to the “make money online” niche. At least you didn’t have to pay. ;) im gonna try to be detailed in my next posts.

  21. Chelle Says:

I tried to diversify by having more blogs…but now I think I would have been better off to stick with 1 or 2 and really devote working on them…though it was nice to see a site that I did absolutely nothing with make me $30 the other day! I look forward to the rest of this - I need some fresh ideas for quick link building & more targeted traffic :)

  22. the noob Says:

Chelle- awesome, u did absolutely nothing and made 30 bucks that day. i’d say that is a strong argument for setting up multi blogs. ;) thanks for reading my humble blog chelle. I’ll try to write really well for this series. ;)

  24. the noob Says:

cafe cafe- that’s amazing! bet your ass you’re on the right track. ;) how are you monetizing your sites? do you write all the content yourself? Great job with the SEO and monetization. Kudos on the traffic. ;)

  25. Cafe_Cafe Says:

Mi wife writes a lot of game walkthrough (both english and spanish) as soon as the game is public. Half our traffic is American and half Spanish/Latin American.

  29. Make Money From Home Says:

Currently I do not earn much in Adsense, TLA makes me more money but i will still concentrate on Adsense. Because I think selling links with TLA will drop your PR right ?

I hope to know more about your next steps on make money online..=)

  30. Wendy Says:

I love reading your posts Noob. You are a “regular” guy and don’t try to sound like you are some super human blogger who knows everything. That is why you attract so many people. I look forward to Part 2. Now where are the specifics on how to use 2, 3, 4 or more blogs to get these 1,000 hits a day? I have that many and it ain’t happin’

  31. Bobby Says:

Thanks for this very informative post. Can’t wait to read part 2..I started to blog just last 2 months ago and still not making that much..I only use adsense and some affiliate ads to monetize my blog..I hope on your next post you could share some tips on how to monetize a blog aside from adsense.

    Thanks

    Bobby

  32. Jumble Blogger Says:

    Thanks for the Post..
Can’t wait for the rest…! Hope it will be published soon..

  33. the noob Says:

umbul- thanks for reading and hope it was helpful. ;)

cafe cafe- i’ll be checking your sites out soon. looks like you’ve done a good job with SEO and looks like you found a niche that you feel comfortable in. It’s cool that you and your wife blog together. my wife hates that i blog. ;) even tho bloggernoob.com paid for our vacation to canada. go figure.

make money from home- selling links from tla or any other link selling program will hurt your PR. i think adsense is a tricky beast. i still haven’t figured it out yet. For noobies tho, adsense doesn’t work.

wendy- hang in there girl! it’ll happen in time. so long as you keep work it. Just get in the habit of getting backlinks. Trade links with other bloggers in your niche. comment on do follow blogs. link to yourself. make friends with high PR blog bloggers. ;)

bobby- i think adsense is an ad program that noobies don’t understand. you would think that it’d be easy to get people to click, but it ain’t. adsense only works on high traffic sites that have a lot of non websavvy visitors. i think you should start small and slow with the monetization. it’s hard to get a new blog off the ground. but in a couple more months, you’ll start seeing more traffic and links. and maybe even get a boost in pr. that’s when monetization because easier. i say, ditch the adsense and work on affiliate marketing. try to sell some cheap links on web forums to get u started.

jumble blogger- thanks. it’s up now. hope it doesn’t disappoint.

  35. Wendy Says:

Noobie: I love the fact that you answer all of the comments. Thanks.

You said: “Trade links with other bloggers in your niche.”

Okay, so what is my niche?

Check me out - maybe it’s ongoing and every changing hairstyles :) It’s not a “Mom” blog because my kids are grown and gone and it doesn’t really have a niche per se like my other blogs and websites.

    http://swishersweetie.blogspot.com (after my favorite cigar)

But then again, I have thecomputerladyonline.com (my “old” life as a web designer), http://www.thecomputerladyonline.com (new life as a computer blogger), http://www.shopping-gems.com (product reviews, okay so I know this niche), and websites at http://www.limaugeboutique.com (retail lavender), http://wholesale.limaugeboutique.com (wholesale lavender)

I guess I wonder how to find the right “high end” blogs to post on. I have tried a few but they approve their posts and I have no idea if my post showed up or not. Maybe I should find one in each niche (like I said, no clue what the niche is for Swisher Sweetie unless it is cheap cigars) and stick with that first?

Do you have a good place to go to find those type of blogs?

    Thanks a bunch!

Tell your wife she should be thankful you are bringing in “free” money. She is probably jealous of the time you spend on the computer. I bet that’s it.

    Wendy

wendy- thanks. i try to answer all of my comments. i figure that you took the time to leave me a message, the least i can do is acknowledge it with a reply, even if it’s a short one. ;) hmm. figuring your ur niche isn’t all that hard. ultra specific niches are better IMO, but you can start off more general if you don’t know what you niche is yet. or if you haven’t decided on a niche yet. if you’re not joined up with blogcatalog, mybloglog, entrecard, you should joing up now. you should be able to find blogs in your niche via those sites. also, put you blog up in various directories. yeah, my wife is jealous of “the noob” ;)

puneet- there are a lot of nonblogging ways to make money online. i will go over some in my future posts, and i’ve talked about others in my previous posts. basically, u can set up any type of website. you can create, membership sites. or get paid to sites. u can set up social communities or web forums. as far as monetization, u test different ad networks out. I’ll try to go into detail in my later posts. you’re right tho, blogging is kinda time consuming.
