Business is not consistent

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who are meant for business, and those who are not. (Actually, there are a lot of different kinds of people in this world, but for the sake of my blog post, let’s just say that there are only two kinds of people in this world.) If you are a business type, you know that you are the minority. Most people like to take pride in their jobs. They like the safety and comfort of getting a regular paycheck. Business folks are not like that. We are gamblers. We want to make a lot of money. We are greedy. Most of the time, we are foolish. The ones that try and fail at business are the ones that try to make a quick buck. These types usually go back to a 9 to 5 type of job.

I have been working for myself for close to a decade now. Even when i was in college, i ran some sort of business. I invested in some real estate while i was still in college. It turned out to be one of the best things that happened to me. It gave me the money and freedom to think differently. I realized that life is about risks. I decided that i wanted to take chances with my life. Why? Because the rewards are greater when there is risk involved.

I want you guys to understand one thing. Business is not a consistent machine. Business is something that has big swings. If you treat your online ventures as a business, you will be disappointed less. You will see that there are ups and downs. The inconsistent nature of online ventures is usually the reason why people quit before they really get started. This applies to blogs and money making web sites. A guy will run into a hiccup and quit on his blog. Some gal will realize that making money online isn’t easy and quit.

I don’t update this blog as often anymore. This is actually a good thing. Before, i only had this blog. But now, i have managed to set up a lot of different web sites that bring in money. None of them bring consistent amounts of income. But, if i combine the lot of them, i can usually count on $X,XXX a month. I achieve this because i never quit. The economy is bad right now. But, i have hope that i can achieve passive income in the $XX,XXX a month range.

For those of you who are thinking about quitting on your little blog. Don’t! Hang in there and you will see the highs. If you are not satisfied with your current income, do something about it. Instead of quitting, work a bit harder. Instead of quitting, try switching up your game plan.

I have been telling people for years that the most important thing for achieving online business success is to not give up!

You will fail sometimes, ideas won’t work, you won’t make as much as you expect with certain things, it might be harder than you thought, etc…

However, if you never give up you will eventually find the successes!

I have been in an offline business for over 20 years. Now I am in an online business and my offline business is still going from strength to strength. I totally agree with your post. Never give up, never, never!

Keep building new businesses, keep adding to your blog, build new websites and promote them. Gradually but surely the rewards will come and before you know it you will be in the big league.
