Make Money Blog Honeymoon

honeymoon.jpgI’m using a wedding/honeymoon analogy here cause the noob is consumed with wedding stresses. All i think about is my damn wedding. I’m not being negative, and i’m sure it will turn out well, but why does it have to be so damn stressful. Rant Done….moving on.

One of the things i’ve learn in my life is that most everything has a honeymoon stage. Obviously relationships go through or why would anyone ever want to get married? If there wasn’t a honeymoon stage, no man in his right mind would want to get married. We love how everything seems wonderful. When we are honeymooning, you feel like your the king of the world. Ever little cheesy gesture seems awesome. But the honeymoon period ends, and you start seeing the faults. You get bored and frustrated. This is when you need to work hard or your relationship(blog) will fail.

You see it at church too. Baby Christians actually want to go to chruch. They want to learn more about Jesus. Even tho it’s boring, they don’t notice it cause of this honeymoon stage. When you take up a new hobby, you get all into it and spend all this money. Right when the honeymoon is over, all that junk you bought for your hobby gets placed in a box and lost in your closet.

Bloggers go through this stage. I am now over it. My honeymoon is officially over. Not exactly sure when it ended, but it was within the last two months. It became harder to update my blog. When i started out, i couldn’t get enough of blogging. I was addicted and couldn’t wait to check my stats or write a new post. I got all excited when i would get a new comment. Now, that my honeymoon is over, i have to work hard on my blog to keep it growing. Like a good relationships, you have to work at it. You can’t expect the initial rush and excitment to last. The bloggers that get past the honeymoon stage and continues to work on their blog are the ones that will make money.

New blogs are created every second. Make money blogs are a popular niche. So that means that a lot of new make money bloggers are born every day. From what i’ve seen, a lot of new make money blogs start off pretty strong. The bloggers are inspired and they really want to make it in this niche. But after around 3 to 4 months, their blogs turn to shit. It’s cause the honeymoon period ended and they got bored of their blog. Like a relationship built a lust. You blog will fail if you don’t work on them. If you can’t get over the honeymoon hump, you will fail as a blogger. That’s why it’s important to write about things that interest you. If you don’t enjoy talking about celebrity gossip but you run a celebrity gossip blog, you most definately will not get past the honeymoon.

I’ve had my blogspot since Feb 07. I’m still going strong, without a niche. I think thats why I kept going, as much as I complain, not having a niche, I think works for me. Especially when I get my “niche fix” thru my photoblog.

Maybe adding something new into this mix of things here, will serve you good. Whatever that may be? Keep the blogger faith Noob.

After a couple of months they also run out of topics to talk about for the most part. I mean strong for the first couple months to me means at least one post a day. That’s like 120-150 plus the paid posts which bumps it up to around 140-170ish. Not bad for most bloggers. I’ve already got almost 2 months of posts written. Just waiting on a layout.
