Make money online with your advertise page
If you want to make money online with your blog, you need to have all of your bases covered. Whenever you post about a new product or service, you should remember to include the affiliate link within that review. This can get tedious in the beginning stages. When you do not get a lot of new visitors to your blog, it can seem meaningless to include your affiliate links. Monetizing a site that doesn’t have visitors can be really hard. But, you really need to get in the habit of creating money making opportunities on your blog. You have to have the mind set of a winner. If you start your blog with a defeatist attitude (I won’t make money with my blog), then you won’t make any money with your blog.
I read through a lot of blogs each and every day. I try to stay informed within my niche. I haven’t had the time to refresh this blog in the last few months. I have been busy dealing with my other web sites. I’ve also been dealing with some personal issues in my offline life. At any rate, i wanted to talk to you guys about the very important “advertise” page. Most of you guys are familiar with this concept. Set up a page with the going rate for an ad spot on your blog. But at the same time, you guys are not setting up this basic page. It’s not even that hard to set one up. Just post a screenshot of your traffic details. Sell your to your potential advertisers.
Selling private ads is really hard. Most bloggers will never even sell one single ad space. But, you should still set up your advertise page. You should set one up just in case. I receive about 20 emails every month regarding private advertisements on my blog. Most do not follow up to my reply. But, i can still count on a few hundred dollars each month on private ads. I don’t even market my advertise page. Advertisers visit my blog and find my advertise page. They shoot me an email showing their interest. When i receive the payment via paypal, i put up the ad. This type of blogging income is fast and easy. Work that is require is very minimal.
The advertise page should have all of the basic info on it. You should list your rankings on all of the major search engines. It’s like a resume of sorts for your blog. Include everything that a potential advertiser would want to know about your blog. Show your traffic and search engine rankings. Also, include your contact info. If you want to make it easier on your advertiser, include a paypal button.
Let me end this blog post with some straight talk. You’re not going to get private ad sales unless you rank well in google. The people who can pay you need to be able to find you. The social traffic that you have built up on your site means nothing. The visits that you get via social means will not convert into clicks. The social traffic is made up of other “make money online” bloggers. These visitors do nothing for your site. Search traffic on the other hand is AWESOME. You can count on it on a regular basis. Search traffic is always new. And most search visitors are complete noobs. They will usually click those annoying ads. This leads to affiliate commissions or adsense checks. You need to work the search engines. Refer to Grizz’s Make money online blog for detailed info about SEO. Also hit up Court’s Internet Marketing blog for awesome advice. If you’ve been doing this as long as i have, you probably already know one thing. Search engine traffic is the only things that matters. Get a lot of search traffic and you’re in the gold. You’ll make money with affiliate links, adsense, and private ads.
Even if you do get a lot of traffic on your blog, you should still set up the basics. You should do this in preparation for your money making days. Be positive and hopeful and work your ass off. You will start seeing some coin as your site grows.

There’s lots of ways to make money, i’ve done online surveys and stuff, did this one study with a company called kleinman research and made a couple of hundred. i keep seeing these blogs on how to make money and it dosen’t work for me?

You are definitely 100% correct when you say that search traffic is all that matters and that social traffic is crap! I try to get that through everyone’s head but nobody wants to listen.
Selling private ads is a great way to make money online. I had a site that made over $2000 every month just from the ads that I sold on it. Although I just sold that site for $48,000 last month so I don’t own it anymore.
However, I do still have other sites that make a lot of money from private ads sales. It’s easy to do.

Can you receive money if your paypal is not verified i.e no bank account attach to the paypal account?
And does it matter if your blog is paid hosting or free hosting in order to make money?

Agreed with you that advertise Page is very important. It’s your “resume” to promote your website to the visitor to advertise at your website. Search traffic is the “benchmark” to determine the advertisement rates.

well okay, i partially agree with you re: private ads being hard to sell. if you’re monthly traffic is only 1-500 site/blog views a week, then heck yeah- it is. if its 0 to 25k…then no. yes people, it all comes down to getting your site/blog on a ton of eyeballs.

This is really a key component of becoming an online presence to be reckoned with. Personally I hope people read this post before they begin just to get headed in the right direction. Anyway when you begin your online campaign you will have an overload especially when it comes to marketing and a lot of new people get sucked into the world of black hat and spam, this is not the way, keep it legit like bloggernoob has done, the best way to go imo.
Also, i like the idea of an advertise, im in the process of creating one for my site too, should be useful.

Thanks for post on how to advertise to monetize blogs. But getting enough traffic is a big pain.

i would agree that ad space is very hard to sell. you have to get the traffic first with is hard enough in its own right. and then you have to find niche targeted ads to run. adsense is always a possibility but to be honest the pay out is far less than what you could charge for banner space.

If you don’t have an advertise page that gets a lot of traffic then it is almost utterly useless to have any affiliate links anywhere since they won’t be receiveing many clicks.

When I first started my website, I found out that when I would add the AdSense advertisements, that I got indexed in literally one day. I never really put the ads on my website to generate PPC money, but just to get indexed faster. Great post!
