Movie magic
I wanted to write off topic on this glorious Sunday/Monday morning. I just watched “No Country for Old Men.” I’ve been meaning to watch it for some time, but i’ve been busy with things. Anyway, god almighty, what a great friggin movie. The Cohen brothers are cinematic gods.
The movie is chase drama. Features a good guy, a bad guy, and a guy in between. Javiar Bardem gets most of the credit for his creepy bad guy portrayal, but i wanted to talk about Josh Broden. Remember him on the “Goonies?” He did a great job in this movie.
That’s the beauty of movies. You get inspired by great flicks. Doesn’t matter what genre the film’s included in. If the movie flows, you’re bound to get inspired…at least i do.
After watching the movie, i thought about why it was so great. I think it’s all about characters and script. If you can make the characters interesting, you can make a good flick. Of course, you need a great script, and great actors, but u get my point.
Best scene in the movie is when, Javier stops by the gas station and scares the bejesus out of the old clerk by making him call a coin toss. If you haven’t seen it yet, i highly recommend it. It is very choice.
