Pick a magazine or book

images.jpegIf you want to start a new blog, you should visit your local book store. Check out the magazine racks and pick up some ideas. I still have over 50 domains that i have parked on godaddy. I don’t have to time to launch new sites but i was thinking that i should at least put up a blog on each domain. I know that i don’t have to update often. I just want to grow each domain to where it gets over 10 hits a day. That way, it’ll be a lot easier to start something when i free up some time.

The age of a website is one of it’s assets. The older a domain and website is, the higher the selling price. If you’re like me, you’re probably a domain name freak. You probably do random domain name searches. I have so many 5 letter domains, it’s not even funny. I have all these ideas, but not enough time. So instead od developing a high concept site, i should just put up a blog. That way, i can age the domain. I can get some traffic via free sources. Doing this will make it easier to work on later.

I was over at sitepoint late last night. I was looking thru the marketplace and i came across a windows visits website. That site was making around 5k/month and selling for 55k. I went to the site and saw nothing special. I felt like i could set up a windows vista blog that could be better then that site. I’m not a windows Visita expert, but i think i could make a pretty cool vista blog. All i would need is a book on vista. And i would have a plethora of info handy for my posts.

Whatever your hobby or interest is, you should start a blog about it. If the blog starts getting traffic from search engines, then you could make money off of it.

Windows Vista has had so many upsets it’s not even worth your time to make a blog on it. I read something in the last week about XP will still dominate for the next 2 years at least. I believe it was on CNN.

The problem I have is that I have too many ideas, which generally leads to inaction.

My list of blog ideas probably grows by about 2-4 blogs per day,if I could actually put all of these ideas to use I could prolly be putting some cash in my pocket.

Have you thought about using this Blogger blog creation tool for your 50 parked domains? I can’t find the link right now, but I heard that you just plug in your keywords and your domains and let it run. It sets up 100 per hour or something crazy like that.

Might get those 50 starting to age.

I’m like you; a bunch of registered domains and not enough hours in the day to create content for each. I’m fairly new to blogging. My strategy is to concentrate on one or possibly two blogs and learn the craft. Hopefully I’ll be building traffic and making contacts along the way and make some money as a bonus.

That is the beauty of the blog, you can write about anything and not need to have a university degree in what you are talking about, all it takes is experience.
