As you can tell, i write a lot of paid plugs. It’s a good way monetize your site in the early stages. But after you site gains some traction, you should get off of it. I am planning to not do that many paid plugs in the coming months. I’ve grown my blog enough to where i don’t need it to make money online. I also don’t like that i am forced to write posts in between the paid plugs. It gets pretty tiring. It was cool when i didn’t have that many sites, but now that i multitask, i don’t enjoy it as much. I’m always advocating multiple blogging. Guys, it really is the only way to make money online. It doesn’t just have to be blogs. But you have to set up more then one site in order to make any real cash. If you don’t think you can hang with multiple sites, then don’t expect to make a lot of money online. I just talked with Debby over at Market Leverage. Since my last Ipod Contest was such a hit, she wanted to sponsor another one. That’s great news for you guys. To promote my contest, i will tap my regular marketing resources. I haven’t yet decided on what type of contest to set up. Maybe you guys can help me decide. Leave me a comment with your suggestion. If i go with your idea, i’ll give you a domain name or something. As always, it’s going to be easy to enter. Looking back on my blog, i notice that i did a lot of contest promotions. I think that’s one of the reasons that bloggernoob was able to grow. Running a contest is a fun and effective way to grow traffic and readership for you blog. If you want to make money online, you better give some stuff away. It looks like one of my winners received their prize a few days ago. He even wrote me a message. Thanks for thanking me Jared. There are a lot of bloggers who have made their comments “do follow.” Normally, blog comments have the no follow attribute. This means that the link you place with the comment is not really a link. Google doesn’t give the link juice on comment links. But on blogs that changed the attribute to “do follow,” you’re links are valid. This means that you can get free links to you site just by leaving a comment on someone’s blog. There are a lot of high PR blogs that use the do follow. Networking with these bloggers and commenting often is a good way to get quality links to you site. The best part is that you don’t have to pay a dime. Make money online by leaving useful comments on “do follow” blogs. It’s a great way to get free links on high Page Rank sites. Read More to Make Money Online »

Many of you know that i’ve been getting into domaining. I like playing around with domain names because it’s somewhat similar to what i do as my day job. Domain names are the virtual real estate of the web. Like real estate, they go up in value. Some domain names are listed for millions of dollars. I also like playing with domains because it reminds me of my youth. When i was a young kid, i used to collect baseball cards. I would buy Becket magazine and check to see if my cards went up or not. I had a pretty valuable collection of trading cards. When you’re buying domains, you have to be careful to not buy useless names. Don’t buy names that are too long and stay away from unpronounceable names. Lastly, if you want to make money online, you should only buy dot com domains. Read More to Make Money Online »

I just had a terrible experience with one of my web hosting providers. I had a few of my sites hosted with Webhostingpad. I try out a lot of different shared hosting providers to test out how they function. I’ve never had problems with Bluehost or hostmonster. I’m ok with hostgator, but i have to say that webhostingpad is the worst web host in the market. They have horrible customer service and their servers are really slow. I was willing to stay with them cause i didn’t want to hassle with moving my sites over to another host. But, it looks like i am forced to switch. I just lost 5 of my websites. Three of them were blogs with a lot of content. I was so pissed so i decided to call up tech support. I had to wait for over an hour on the phone and the guy was an idiot. He couldn’t help at all. They didn’t have backups of my sites so they are all gone. If you want to make money online, avoid webhostingpad. Read More to Make Money Online »

It seems like the most important thing for a webmaster is a link. Google measures your site by the links to your site. Alexa and Technorati also ranks your site with backlinks. So, instead of wasting time fiddling with your wordpress theme, you should be building links. You can make your site pretty later. What good is a beautifully designed site, when no one visits? If you want to make money online, you better know the value of links. Read More to Make Money Online »

Is it worth buying domain names with Google PR? I’ve done a few experiments with this in the past 6 months. I purchased some domains that already had PR on them. I wanted to see if i would lose the PR when the next update occured. I first bought my PR domain for around $40. I was such a noob. I now realize that i overpaid for that domain. If you are thinking about buying dropped or expired domains with PR, don’t pay too much for them. Buy them if you like the name, but don’t buy it for the PR. Cause you’re going to lose the PR. Making money online is about learning from you experiences. If you experiement often, then you’ll gain more understanding of how you can make money online. Read More to Make Money Online »

I think a lot of newb bloggers are interested in income reports. When i was a newb, i loved reading about how much chow or whomever made. I didn’t question the income reports nor did i ever suspect people of forging such reports. I now realize that a lot of these income reports are false. Maybe not all of them are fake, just most of them. Even my income reports don’t tell the full story. I don’t keep exact books. I also report income that hasn’t been cleared. I’m still waiting on a lot of the referral income. Read More to Make Money Online »
