I used to be a big boxing fan. When i was growing up, Mike Tyson created a lot of buzz. It’s not been argued that he wasn’t that great of a fighter. The marketing team and his managers made sure that his legend would grow by making him fight weak opponents. But i didn’t know any better. I thought it was pretty awesome watching his short fights. He later went to prison and boxing kinda died out. But In the late nineties, a fella by the name of Oscar De La Hoya changed everything. Here was a pretty boy boxer who could really box. He fought well and was very skilled. He became a singer and a businessman, but continued to go after the strong fights. He is now at the twilight of his boxing career. I think the past few fights have been disappointing for De La Hoya. Oscar still needs to prove something if he wants to be considered of the the best pound for pound fighters. If he wants to belong with the all time greats of boxing, he needs to win his next fight. This might be his last chance to prove himself to the world.
