The almost complete guide to affiliate marketing
I wrote a pretty popular post about paid posting. Now i wanted to extend that with affiliate marketing. I think it’s a natural progression because paid posting can only go take your blog monetization so far. After a certain point, it makes more sense to push affiliate links as opposed to taking a flat fee for writing a post. In the long run, you will make more money online by pushing affiliate links. I will try to keep this post up to date. If i spot new affiliate networks, i will be sure to add them into this post.
There are some blogs that try to make you believe that it is easy to be a successful affiliate marketer. Well let me break the news to you. It’s not. It’s actually really hard to make your visitors click and purchase something. I hate adsense, but i think you might end up making more with your blog via adsense then with affiliate links. With that said, let me try to write some positive words.
Although it is difficult, it can be done. I was fortunate enough to hit some affiliate pay dirt early on in my blogging career. I was able to push some hosting deals and i got lucky. I’ve learned that make money online blogs are not the best places to push affiliate links. It’s because most MMO blog readers are already signed up for such programs. Also, most MMO blog readers are cheap.
Affiliate programs work better on high traffic sites. I’m talking about sites that get thousands of hits a day. An idea site would be a “Deal” site that gets around 3 thousand hits a day. It’s a difficult niche to tap into, but if you do, you’ve hit pay dirt.
You can also try to set up review sites. If you constantly review new products, you are bound to get some action clicks. As your audience grows in trust, you can profit from your reviews. So get in the habit of including your affiliate links into all of your posts. With that said, let me list all of the affiliate programs i use.

[...] Affiliates- Affiliate marketing is not as easy as most people make it out to be. If you are a noob, you will find it to be pretty hard to get these commissions. It requires a lot of SEO and keyword strategies. You also need to play around with different ad networks and programs. Setting up multiple sites is a must. [...]
