Trusted ad networks

christina aguilera is a trusted ad network that makes money onlineBloggers who want to make money online need to hook up with trusted ad networks. There are a lot of websites that promise you money, but you have to do some research before you can trust most of these ad programs. I have been blogging for about a year now and i still don’t trust most of the ad networks. I only trust the ones that have actually paid me. And let me tell you, very few have actually paid up.

Let me start off by talking about referral income. Referral programs are shit. These things are border line scams. Most referral programs will not make money for you. Let me use payperpost as an example. Payperpost is a site that lets you sell links on you blog for money. The problem with the referal program that they have over there is that most of the bloggers you refer will not get any posting opts. That means that you will not get paid. You just do a lot of work promoting their site and giving them free backlinks for nothing. Most of the referral programs are like this. You will not get paid for the work that you do. I do not recommend any of you chasing after referral income. Sign up bonuses are just as shitty.

Most ad networks work on a net 30 or net 60 basis. This means that they won’t pay until the 30 or 60 days is up. I try to test out each and every ad network with a little work before i devote my precious time into them. I don’t want to rack up a few thousand dollars in commisions and realize later that the site was a scam. Or, worse, i didn’t read the fine print on the TOS. I know that it is a drag, but try to read the TOS (terms of service) before you do any work.

Read up on the credibility of that website. Do some google searches and browse webmaster forums for info about the ad network. Ask around and find out if they pay up. I’ve joined close to a hundred different programs that supposedly help me make money online. I honestly do not even remember the URL of like 90 of them. Find ones that you trust and stick to them. Keep trying to find new outlets for income, but be cautious. There are a lot of shady programs out there. Also, when you run into some trouble, try to contact support. If there is no answer within 48 hours, do not waste any time with that program. Noob out!

So it sounds to me that is kind of trial and error. Then once you find a good one you just run with that one. Also I just Googled referral, program, scam and a ton of sites came up. Thanks noob.

coolproducts- yeah trial and error. i think this is the best way to learn. yeah, google will return a lot of scam sites. the internet is filled with questionable money sites. buyer beware. caveat emptor

trent brownrigg- great questions. i was wondering if anyone was going to ask me that in the comments. i was going to put my list of trusted source in the post, but i got lazy. And, my comments have been a bit laggy lately so i figured i would spice things up and cause a Q and A of sorts. thanks for asking. I would say that for paid posting sites, payperpost, sponsoredreviews, and smorty are you best bet. reviewme is also good. for affiliate sites, i go with CJ all the way. By far the best affiliate site. Hands down. They have all of the sites that you will ever need to make money online. the smaller ones like pepperjam and marketleverage are for MMO types. not enough things to push. For pay per click programs. adsense all the way. if you get kicked out of adsense, then go with adbrite. kontera also works. B2B programs go with rev response. I don’t want to make this comment too long. I will list a monster post about all of the ad networks that have paid me so far. i’ll even try to include screen shots for proof.

I didn’t want to post about them until i got paid tho. still waiting. hopefully they’ll pay out next month. Thanks for visit my humble blog.

Thanks for replying to my comment and listing your favorites. I would have to say I agree with you on pretty much all of them. Although I hadn’t ever seen Smorty before so thanks for the heads up on that one.

Didn’t you used to promote PayPerPost like heck? I remember you having those monthly income reports stating that you made like $1-2,000 from referrals…

Not against you, but could you have been teaching your fellow readers the wrong things in the past?

    coolproducts- awesome

greg ellison- non of my blogs have been accepted into payu2blog. i guess i stopped check up with them. but do they pay well? how much is do they pay per post?

trent brownrigg- no worries. there are more. i’ll list them all on my one year anniversary post.

mike huang- yeah i did. i used to believe that they would pay up. cause i got paid for a few of the referrals early on. i think that this is a learning game. i only trust myself. so i have to personally experience things. i don’t listen to most of the crap out there.

I’ve found Smorty to be pretty good and Texkt Link Ads have been OK for me too.
Lately I’ve had a few people asking me to add text links on my site for them. The latest guy has paid me $70 for text links added to articles that I wrote over 3 months ago.

    Good stuff noob,

I am currently using CJ and adsense just to have some stuff up, but for now my main focus is getting my traffic up. Just started a little four months ago and I am excited about some good growth in the future.

I’m currently working independently from ad networks, I find my own advertisers in forums and offer them place to advertise. Well, it is more work, but 100% profit

This is pretty much why I moved away from the blogging business. It’s people like John Chow that has pushed so many new blogs into the blogosphere. Most of them are about the same thing or most have content that are completely useless. Blogging is not where you make money now 😀
