A blog that isn’t updated isn’t really a blog. If you don’t constantly update your blog, all you have is a 1998 style static html page *Yawn* blog. You have to really commit if you want to grow a popular blog. If you want to make money online with your blog, you gotta put in the time. The past week has been pretty slow on bloggernoob dot com. I have been busy with my offline business so i couldn’t spend that much on my collection of websites.
Sometimes you write a post that you think is extra special. You almost fall in love with your own words. You want more people to read it so you purposefully leave it on the top of your homepage. You don’t update your blog. Not updating is the worst thing that you can let happen to your blog. You can lose regular visitors and it’s bad for SEO. You’ll lose out to other bloggers who constantly update.
The internet is filled with random blogs. And, there’s no real blog loyalty in this game. Our generation is all about instant info. If i can’t get info from your site, i’ll quickly hop on over to another site. If i notice that you are not updating, then i’ll stop visiting your site.
I know that it gets hard to post often. But, if you dream of working from home and running your own business, you have to be on it. If you read about the bloggers who started techcrunch, gizmodo, and engadget, you know that they worked super hard. That was the reason that their blogs became superblogs. You won’t make it like those guys, but you can build your blog up to a medium size if you work hard.
I’m not a good writer, and my vocab is very limited. (Very low verbal SAT scores) But, my work ethic rivals Kobe and Jordan. If i want something real bad, i dive in head first. I’m intense man!
I turned bloggernoob into a mildly profitable blog in 8 months time. This blog is now worth something to me financially. When i started out, i didn’t know anything about blogging. I don’t have a clue about SEO. But i just kept posting. If i didn’t know about a topic, i just wrote a rambling post about why i didn’t know that topic. Just keep writing guys. You will see result as long as you don’t quit, and as long as you keep updating you blog.
It’s hard to write on your stupid blog when you have financial difficulty. When there are bills to pay, who wants to update their hobby blog? If you got in a fight with your significant, blogging is probably the last thing on your mind. That’s why if you’re serious, you should treat it like a business. Don’t let personal things get in the way. If you do that, you will start seeing more income from you blog.
